My Journey

My Journey

When I became a mother for the first time, I was swept up in the intensity of new parenthood — moments of overwhelming love, followed closely by tears and exhaustion. I expected to feel tired, I hadn’t realised just how relentless the lack of sleep would be. My baby simply wouldn’t sleep, and I felt completely depleted — emotionally and physically.

For a long time, I kept thinking things would improve on their own. But the broken nights, constant wake-ups, and lack of rest added up — and eventually, the exhaustion set in. It began to affect every part of life.

I searched for answers—scrolling websites, reading books, and listening to well-meaning advice. But I was met with conflicting opinions and outdated methods. None of it felt right for me or my family. Over time, I realised that one-size-fits-all solutions simply don’t work.

That experience sparked a newfound passion to support other families with care that looks beyond sleep itself—guidance that considers everything surrounding it. My mission is to help parents feel equipped and supported, so they can move beyond survival mode and truly thrive as a family.

What is gentle, holistic sleep support?

This is a holistic approach to sleep support—focused on discovering the why behind your child’s sleep struggles by looking at the whole picture: their development, sensory needs, temperament, daily rhythms, and your family’s unique environment.

This isn’t sleep training disguised in softer language—it’s a child-centred, family-informed way of supporting sleep that honours both emotional wellbeing and biological needs. I support families in building healthy sleep foundations through connection, consistency, and attunement.

My approach recognises that you are the expert on your baby. I take the time to understand your child and your family’s needs, then draw on evidence-based insight and experience to create a tailored sleep plan for you—one that aligns with your values and what already feels right.

Babies thrive when we tune into their natural rhythms and meet their need for connection. Across generations and cultures, sleep has been supported through closeness, responsiveness, and instinct—not rigid rules.

In many ways, modern parenting advice has drifted from these roots. My approach gently brings us back—bridging time-tested wisdom with evidence-based guidance. Whether you’re seeking more structure or something more flexible, we’ll shape a path that aligns with your child, your values, and your way of parenting.

  • Let your values, not outside pressure, guide how you support your baby at night
  • Nervous System & Emotional Wellbeing
  • Support your child’s ability to feel safe and calm through co-regulation and connection
  • Understand how a dysregulated nervous system can impact sleep, and work gently to restore balance
  • Create wind-down rituals that feel emotionally safe, not just mechanically routine
  • Recognise signs of stress, sensory overload, or emotional dysregulation
  • Use simple, nurturing strategies to bring calm—like cuddles, gentle movement, soft voices, and being close
  • Holistic Sleep Foundations
  • Take a close look at your current sleep routines and setup
  • Understand what’s developmentally normal and expected for your child’s age
  • Consider how your birth story, feeding journey, and family dynamics shape sleep
  • Notice what’s getting in the way of rest—physically, emotionally, or logistically
  • Tune into your child’s natural temperament and sensory preferences
  • Reflect on any inherited ideas or outside pressures around sleep
  • Find rhythms that honour your child’s needs and your family’s reality
